Kerb

Really useful talk from programming guy from Kerb. Got some useful info on how to move my character around and apply different animations to it.

What AM I up to?

Okay at the moment I have a basic concept for my game, bullet eating character, prevents humans from harm. I have started drawing some character designs, and have been getting to grip with animation in flash.

Also I am currently reading the book "Rules of Play" by Katie Salen and Eric Zimmerman, this is proving useful for working out exactly what I need in my game to make it fun. To ensure the game has meaningful play.

I need to work out exactly what action script I am going to require for my game. I think this is my most pressing issue. Sean has a few of books on flash that should be useful, I need to look through these, and start searching the internet for any helpful tutorials and any feedback from forums I can aquire.

http://www.gamingdelight.com/games/bulletbill2.php

If i go ahead with the bullet eating game I think the mechanics of this game would be worth emulating.... bullet bill could be replaced with bullet eating chap and instead of enemies to bump into bullets to eat simply move the mouse to move the bullet eating chap...

Controversial games of note.
