It seems the Gods are smiling down on me in regards to college work this year. The underlying theme of this unit is violence in video games, the ultimate goal being to create the complete opposite, an "anti-shoot 'em up". Excellent, with all the research I compiled for the last unit into controversial video games fresh in my mind, I'm in a favourable position...
Firstly I'm going to expand on what I already know by looking at some more games that have caused controversy.
I find this game quite funny, probably because of age of the visuals. This game was marketed as an adult game. Even so it has very questionable content, and if this theme was coupled with the realistic 3D graphics of todays games, it would almost definitely not be released.
The game has been accused of being a rape simulator. You control Custer who wears nothing but a cowboy hat and boots. Your goal is to have sexual intercourse with a native indian who is restrained against a pole.
